About Elaine

I was born in Belleville and am a Harvard University-trained negotiator and mediator with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Ottawa and a 35 year background in customer service, most recently as a Real Estate Broker. I began my real estate career as a licensed assistant in Rockcliffe Park, Ottawa where I assisted exclusively in the trade of high-end residential and carriage homes. I then spent the next decade working on my own where I successfully listed and sold both residential and commercial properties. While a Broker in Ottawa, I served on the OREB Professional Standards Committee and was heavily involved in the training of new agents within my brokerage. I also won the Coldwell Banker's President's Silver Award in 2011. An opportunity with Sotheby's Canada took me to Toronto where I was a Broker on the Harmony Village Sheppard by City Core Developments project targeted at seniors. At the same time, I worked as the Canadian Liaison and Development Officer to Maya Developments attracting investors to a cutting-edge development in Placencia, Belize. The Placencia Belize encompassed its' own privately owned international airport with 9,200- foot runway; a private island; the first of three distinctive hotels; an upcoming 18-Hole PGA quality golf course; a 293-slip superyacht Marina, a vibrant Marina Village featuring an elegant VIP casino, holistic spa & wellness center and state-of-the-art conference facilities and an eclectic array of stylish tropical residences.  Currently I operate as a broker in the Quinte area where I work on both residential and commercial purchases and sales. My breadth of real estate experience speaks for itself making me a knowledgeable and confident representative in any project I undertakes.

I am back in  the Quinte area and spend my time as an enthusiastic volunteer and Real Estate Broker. Most notably I was a team leader for 100 Women Who Care Quinte, a driver for Operation Red Nose Quinte and a helper at a variety of music festivals in the area. I was also a member of the Kiwanis Club of Ottawa for 8 years, participated in several Habitat for Humanity builds, and volunteered with my then school-aged son in the Christmas Dinner for the Homeless program for 9 years. I travel extensively,  am involved in film and theatre, attend rock concerts, sing in a classic rock band, participate in a number of sports, serve as a mentor to young women who are trying to get themselves back on track, dance even if there is no music and laughs myself sick most of the time.
